THIS DYSTROPHY IS SEEN IN 1 OUT OF 3000 TO 4000 MALE BABIES BORN.
ONSET:
ITS NOTICED AT ABOUT THREE YEARS OF AGE.IT HAS A SUBACUTE TYPE OF ONSET.FIRST VERY SLOW CLUMPSY WALKING WITH FREQUENT FALLS MAY BE NOTICED.
GRADUALLY CHILD DEVELOPS LORDOTIC POSTUREDUE TO WEAKNESS OF ABDOMINAL MUSCLES.GETTING UP FROM SQUATING IS IMPOSIBLE.
THEN HE DEVELOPS WEDDLING GAIT AND IS NOT LONGER  BE ABLE TO JUMP.
